Low E Glass (Low Emissivity Glass)
Low emissivity glass or Low E Glass is a fantastic solution to those looking to push energy efficiency within their property to the max. Low E Glass comes with a sophisticated metal coating, known as low emissivity, this coating increases energy efficiency by locking reducing the transfer of heat and cold through the window glass. The effect of Low E Glass is that in the summer your property will remain cool and in winter the property will hold in the heat.
Low E Glass is available in a couple of options – Sputtered, which features a vacuum deposition or soft coat, this is considered the highest performing example of Low E Glass. The other option is Pyrolytic which features a hard coat, this example is deemed the mid-level performing Low E Glass.
